Inspired By the 60's, But of Course

Top and boots via T.J. MAXX tights: Target skirt: homemade by my mother! :)

Remember those comments about obsessions? Well, in my case, they apply to the long term too! I am and probably will always be OBSESSED with the 60's. This sweater has a beautifully sculpted shape, reminiscent of the Camelot decade. I paired it with a pencil skirt, a la Mad Men and added dark eyeliner, drop earrings, and a bobby-pinned updo to top off the coif. Speaking of updos: the hairstyle pictured above is easy to do. I just invested in a Conair wand curling iron (Thanks, Madeline for the suggestion; I LOVE it!), and I curled my hair and then pinned up the curls using all the bobby pins I could find. So, this hairdo is an excellent one for saving time. You can skip curling your hair and just use lots of bobby pins for a more messy look. I love this easy hairstyle; let me know if you have any personal tricks on bobby-pinning!
