A Field Guide to a Charmed Life

Monday, December 5, 2011

Any girl aspiring to be a lady one day needs to add this online magazine to their list of "Things to Read." Last month the lovely editors-in-chief/co-founders Jane and Katie featured Pablo Picasso (my favorite artist) and Zora Neale Hurston (author of one of my favorites, Their Eyes Were Watching God) and they included pages of inspiration. In another exceptional issue this month, the magazine focuses on another style muse, Janie Bryant. This lovely lady is the Emmy award winning costume designer of Mad Men and is coincidentally mentioned in an earlier post on The Elements here. As well as Janie's feature, the December issue features stocking stuffer ideas and gorgeous photos of giftwrap inspiration. Warm up your holiday by reading the Matchbook Mag, and journey one step closer to a charmed life filled with pages of your own personal style. Happy reading!

PS: Each month the first thing I read is the little feature in the front of the magazinge that has little descriptions of a typical "Matchbook girl." My favorite this month is this: The matchbook girl hangs candy canes on her tree and smooches a handsome stranger under the mistletoe...
