A New Perspective

shirt: Gap cigarette pants: Gap penny loafers: Target lipstick: Clinique Black Honey
Sometimes I wake up and am just so uninspired by my closet. I hate to admit that sometimes I just feel like whining and being ungrateful. I need more clothes, more accessories, more, more, more! I need to look like Teen Vogue every day! Ah!!!

Alright, I'm sure you didn't need that little rant, but the point is this: when feeling uninspired, look at your clothes from a new perspective. In my opinion, the most stylish people are those that have a few, sturdy, well-worn items in their closets that are timeless and that are applicable in numerous situations.

And now, on to the show; here for some reason I decided to put on one of my favorite shirts backwards. I'm still not really sure what made me do this, but I was pleased with the result! This sleeveless shirt has a cascade of ruffles on the front back, perfect for doing the twist. (see my attempt at this 1960's dance above...) the detail on the shirt allows for simple pieces like black cigarette pants and my personal favorite accessory, red lipstick!

I'd love to know if any of you are coming up with creative perspectives of your closet; leave a comment!
