Clean Lines

Monday, April 30, 2012

Sunday afternoons are becoming increasingly more intoxicating the warmer and brighter the weather is turning. Discussing the excitement over the upcoming change of season, my friend Madeline mentioned today that she lives from summer to summer, and I must say I whole-heatedly agree with her. This Sunday my mom and I walked around Atlanta outdoors and then headed into the cool interior of The High Museum for the Picasso/Warhol exhibit. Besides reading and listening to music, art galleries are my greatest source of information, and ironically, not necessarily because of the art. I like the clean, sharp lines of the space in art museums; the way the rooms are so bare and simple and yet so full of beauty is astounding and quite philosophical, if you ask me. It can also be translated into style: the most intriguing outfits usually begin with basics, a basic cut, piece, accessory, etc. creates a canvas to express one's style, much like an artist. Sunday I expressed this style by my favorite blank canvas, a white v-neck! I added a pop of pink, a sassy clutch, and a touch of vintage to this weekend's weekender look. Let's start counting down to summer with clean, classic lines and a splash of personal style!

  1. darling! your blog is fabulous, and I mean no disrespect, but that isn't by Picasso, it's by Henri Matisse :)

  2. Thank you for your comments! I fixed the error; and I am so embarrassed at my oversight. Thanks for reading!
