I Keep Rolling Like an Old Banjo

The perks of being a college student, I recently realized, include discounts on several important essentials, like some clothing stores (I heard a rumor J. Crew gives 15% off for students?!) and some restaurants and most importantly, some concert tickets. I had the opportunity to see Dierks Bentley on his college tour, and the best part was that the tickets were ten bucks. That's cheaper than going to the movies. And as if life couldn't get any better, the concert was right on campus, so I walked there. I am a music fanatic, and poetry and song lyrics have always been a source of inspiration to me, so Bentley's Free and Easy caught my lyrical attention, and besides that, he put on a great show. Being a classic outdoor country concert complete with an overwhelming amount of cutoffs and breaks every now and again for the band to go off stage and sip something from red solo cups, I decided to embrace my southern heritage and slip on some supple leather cowboy boots and a vintage-y lace grandma dress. The boots were durable enough for stomping to the beat and the tea-length dress was perfect for a cool summer breeze and a wink(s) from cute college boy(s)... ;)

PS: The Elements' countdown to "Saturday in Athens" begins. Next Saturday, folks, is about to get CRAY. Go Dawgs.
