If You Can Cook the Way You Look

"I don't want to be cool, I want to be fashion," says Anna Dello Russo, editor of Japanese Vogue. So sources my inspiration for the week: from fashion's personality, the woman who scores in numbers right from the runway, who changes outfits several times a day, who designs for the "crazy woman, [the] woman enjoying life and fashion, [the] non-conformist" (Man Repeller). Anna Dello Russo embodies my own feelings for the wonderful world of fashion and style: passionate and giddy at the thought of being able to dress up for nobody but oneself each day of the year. As you follow along with Fashion Week, whether you are heading to shows in The City, or catching up on the day's festivities on style.com between classes, encompass equal parts passion and silliness into your look. Dress for you, and dress in what makes you happy and comfortable. Because when you dress for you, your light shines through and others no longer see the clothes, they only see that light, that penchant for for uniqueness.

So go forth and conquer the world today, fashionistas. Cheers to non-conformity.

Oh, and PS: Dello Russo announced a collaboration with H&M this past week for a line of accessories.  You can be sure I'll be ordering from H&M in the not-so-distant future.
