Picks for Fall: Kirna Zabête for Target Edition

Sunday, September 23, 2012

Ok I know what you're all thinking. Where am I ever going to wear a felt floppy hat? Why do I want to invest in anything remotely trendy that will just fade away with each withering page of last month's Vogue? And why the hell would I want to expand my closet with anything more bought from Target's collaboration collections?? I CAN'T SAY NO TO TARGET!!! (Which is the moral to my very sad, sad story.)

Okay, floppy hat aside, Kirna Zabête did an excellent job of creating a cohesive fall collection for the fashionista who craves quality and cringes at the sight of price tags. (AKA: Me) And even better news for those personal style hounds out there: the collection is shock full of wearable separates that will melt nicely into any fall wardrobe. Unlike the Missoni collection where more the Missoni you wear, the better, Kirna Zabête offers several pieces where just a dash of the cute whimsical boutique is enough to redefine a closet staple. The print dresses work great with black stockings and boots, the faux leather skirt is a great balance to a crisp white oxford or a ladylike ruffly top, and the floppy hat is a great toss-on piece for a day of shopping, a fall picnic, or a trip to Starbucks for an Autumn afternoon Pumpkin Spice Latte.
