Christmas in July

{dress: Kirna Zabête for Target; flats: LOFT}
{kiss bracelet: Kirna Zabête for Target; purple bracelets: Lily and Laura}

For some odd reason, it has been a balmy 75 degrees outside and I've traded in my leggings and boots for norts and bro tanks IN DECEMBER. As Taylor Swift would say, what? I want it to be scarf and coat and mitten season. I want the temperature to be less than the temperature of a cup of hot apple cider so I can actually drink a cup of hot apple cider! The temperature causes a great dilemma because I refuse to wear sandals and other summer clothes in December. It's just wrong. So for the many inevitable holiday season engagements, how does one dress both according to season and to outside temperature? I decided a shift dress (duh) was the best way to go. The heavy tweed makes this Kirna Zabête for Target dress season appropriate and without a jacket or tights, I won't be sweating all the way to the holiday party. I accessorized with a signature pop of color, black ballet flats, and my new favorite accessory: an armful of Lily and Laura bracelets! These bracelets make a great addition to any arm party and come in a rainbow of colors to suit any girl's personal style. So pour yourself a cool glass of lemonade with a sprig of mint leaves, listen to Colbie Caillat's very relevant new Christmas album, Christmas in the Sand, and try to avoid heat stroke at all your fabulous holiday parties.
