{our magical christmas tree}

There is nothing as magical as a live performance, and to date, Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker is the most magical performance I've ever seen. Between the beautiful costumes and the growing Christmas tree and the exceptional choreography, I was transported to another time and place among dancing wildflowers and candy and sugarplums. Having been a performer for most of my life (a ballet dancer, specifically) I believe it is important to dress up for the theatre. Nothing shows quite as much respect for the hard work the actors and dancers have accomplished as dressing up. Fitting for this particular performance, I chose a plum-colored frock with sparkly shoes and an updo. I decided to keep it classy and simple for a night filled with magic and wonder.
